Call for Printmakers

Calling all Pittsburgh area printmakers interested in a cooperative printshop: Shop will open late spring/early summer with capabilities for intaglio and relief printmaking and platemaking (ferric chloride bath for copper plate etching) and utilizing non or less toxic processes and materials and caligo safe wash inks. Our Griffin 000 etching press has a bed size of 22.5” x 44”, so can print a standard sized full sheet of paper. Near future plans include adding an exposure unit and vacuum press with other additions to follow. Currently seeking interested artists for input as the shop is being set up and future needs/equipment additions are being prioritized.
